How to change your online store from defaulting to ALL ITEMS shown in popularity order

I created a online site:

ALL of my items so far are in neat categories - FULL CIRCLE MERCH and VIDEO GAMING.  I plan to have about 6-8 categories when finished = COMIC BOOKS - VINYL RECORDS - TOYS - ETC ETC

However when i click on SHOP NOW button and to to my site, instead of having the categories across the top, it defaults to ALL ITEMS and displays them in a random order by default....which makes ZERO SENSE to me.   I would prefer to have the category icons show up and people be able to choose what they look at.  I realize they can click off of the all items and choose a category - but this is confusing that the current results are messy looking.

I tried going in and turning off  and even deleting the show all option, but the display results do not change - default to all my items randomly scrambled on the main shopping screen.

Any suggestions?

HI, hopefully this information will help.

Within your Editor - Header, you can select Category Pages to display across the top.

Online Dashboard, Website, Edit Site, Header, Navigation, Navigation Links, +Add Navigation Link, popup to select Link To, you can select Category Page

To arrange the Shop All page

Editor, click Page: Home down arrow, Shop All, Item List, Arrange & Add Items, Arrangement
