How do you get cheaper shipping?

I’m in Canada.  I can’t set the packages to weight online I have to have a set rate for shipping I don’t know what to charge my clients online for shipping. I went through Canada post and it’s saying 24.00 is the cheapest. When I went in person I paid 17.00. How do I get the discount on shipping rates and how do I make the shipping rates based on weight on my website?

First things first, get a 3rd party platform that can quote multiple platforms at once, second Canada post is one of the most expensive platforms.

We use ClickShip! It's the cheapest third-party platform we've found.
