As per the question, where did the event tab go and how do i make one? These are free events my clients can attend. Any help would be much appreciated been stuck on this for awhile!

That is a really good question, there was a recent update to the dashboard that removed "Events" as an item type from the different options. However, you are able to have a ticket created so that our team can put it back in your account. To do this however, you would need to call in to our direct Customer Success team, as we are not able to make that change on this platform. If you have any other questions about this, please let us know!
We are having the exact same issue. We have many events created in the past. We went in to create a new one and it's not an option under item anymore. This is big for us. We called and we were told this moved to appointments now and we need to subscribe to that. Appointments are not events. We can still see events in settings, like for default item types and under non-physical fulfillment options. We sure do need this restored.
