How do I go about connecting the sales tax to the products I have on my website?

I have a new website and I have products on my site and connected it to online sales and everything. I went to the tax area. It had already calculated my tax for my state, but for some reason it’s not being attached to my products. I even went in and chose products to have tax on and it’s still not showing when I tried to go in as if I’m a different person to order. Also, I’m having a hard time applying my shipping rate to, and I went into the shipping area and put in a price in nothing connects with the products at the end of a cell. I’m looking for help in this area. Thank you

Hi Asrarj,

 

Unfortunately what we cannot do here is look at your Account setup - only Tech or Customer Support can do that.  The Community members here have a lot of experience with Square's Apps and Hardware but, cannot actually see what is going on - we basically have to guess.

 

Just to double check:

Login to your Square Account

From the Dashboard, Select Account & Settings

Next Select Business Information

Sales Taxes

You should see the status - should be "Enabled"

 

Go back to your main or Home screen

Select Items & Orders

Select Items

Select any item to Edit

Scroll down a little - do you see your Tax displayed in the Taxes Box ?

 

If yes to all - that would be good and the Tax should be applied - if not, then you may want to follow-up with Customer Support.

 

As for your shipping concern - did you setup and save a Shipping Profile ?  Customer Support can also look at that for you.
