How can I know (the name of the person) who provided a donation? I only see the donation, no name when I receive the email. Thank you!
Hey @VeroFitness!
Good question. I went ahead and did a test donation on my own account so I could see what donor information is provided. I entered the name of the donator as Testing Donations, and went to Transactions after I completed the donation. As you can see below, I was able to see the first and last name of the donor:
Then I clicked the Checkout Link for the donation, and I was able to see their email as well:
Does that help? Let me know! ✨

Thank you so much!!! I can now see who 🙂
Is there a way to collect customer's (who donate) mailing addresses for thank you notes? Does Square track donation/goal progress?
Hey @Young1sLLC-
Thanks for posting in the Seller Community.
I believe you will have access to their home address if you enable the following in Online Store > Settings > Checkout >Advanced Settings:
I hope that helps! 🌸
Thank you, Isabelle. Yes, that answers my question. I do have an additional question. Can I also put a cap, like a donation goal, on my link too?
Hey @Young1sLLC-
Thanks for your reply. We don't have a way of including the donation goal at this time. I suppose you could include it in the title of the donation, or on the donation button text:
Thanks for the suggestion, and I'll make sure to pass it along.
The cap option would be a great addition. I would like to use it for group gifting next year. I’ve been invoicing customers this year, as an option. But, I can see the potential for online sellers, like myself, to market group gifts. It would be a time saver. As it is without the cap, I would have to really monitor “donations.” Thanks for your help.
I marked address collection for donations and digital purchases in our online store but nothing is showing in their files. Where can I find it?
Hey @DFSOttawa - I want to make sure I'm understanding your question correctly. You added a field where your customers can provide an address at the time of donation, but you can't see the address in your transactions, is that correct?
I'll be on the lookout for your reply.
I set up a donation through online checkout and I can't get it to take contact info.I need to capture the name and address of each donor and I checked all the boxes available to do so. Yet my reports don't include address.
