Home Page settings constantly changing

Things are always changing on the Home page and throughout the platform. My old Home page view was set to my sales performance preference....... detailed and the view I chose to see about my performance was a year over year view every time I logged in. I also had the luxury of seeing my loan status and how it was progressing on the home page. WHY!! WHY!! Can't the page be fixed to what I want to see-  and my page is set to my customized view.
