I think this would be best explained by giving the exact senario so here it goes.
I have an item which is a gift box and will have predefined vinyl text stuck to it. I have set a 1st option for this item to choose either black or white for the box colour. I have set a 2nd option to select the predefined vinyl text colour that will be used on the box colour chosen.
My problem is that if a black box is selected the end user has the option of selecting black text and likewise if they selected the white box the end user has the option to select white text. I know this is just silly to do but I want to prevent it in the event of an accident and save having to follow up with the end user.
Now I realise that once I configure the item with the 2 options, I am presented with a list of all possible varations with the options. The area where I can select alternate pricing, weights etc. I have been able to just delete the variations that are listed with the combination of black box/black text and white box/white text which works great but it shows the word "Black - Out of Stock" in the list of vinyl text colours if the end user has the black coloured box selected first.
It may just be a case of, it is what it is and I have to deal with that but is it possible to somehow just get square online to completely hide the option of black text in the above example?
