Help with wt based items

Those that enter weight based items for your online store… how can you do this with the variations. We sell meat and each item is a different weight. However it makes me enter only item or by lb. So it doesn’t accurately show my inventory bc I put the cost of the item then the weight cost (bc it won’t total it online) but in manage stock it shows the weight I entered not how many of those that I have. Also half my items show up online and half don’t. They all have the same visibility and store location 😖

This article goes into a bit more detail regarding Shipping on Square Online and Order weight rates. Variations must have a weight set to them in order to calculate with the order-based rates or it would use a fallback rate if you've set that up. It would be a feature request for variable weights on Square Online. To learn more about how feature requests work, please see this post from one of our Community Moderators. 

 

In Square Online, you can set your pricing rates based on the weight of all items in an order. Please note this option will not take into account the distance to the destination or what carriers actually charge. To set up a shipping rate by order weight, you'll need to specify a weight for each of your items in your Square Item Library. Learn more about creating and managing items from Square Dashboard for details.


As for the issues with your items not showing up on your Online Store, I suggest starting out with the troubleshooting steps listed here. If this doesn't improve things, please reach out to Support directly by logging into your Square account and heading here for further assistance.
