This experience may make other despairing Weebly users feel they are not alone with their problems
I will state, briefly, my experiences:
On 17 April 2026 I tried to make contact with Weebly help and the reply as you can guess was that as they had gone over to Square, Weebly couldn’t help. Went to Square and they would not help as it was a Weebly problem. This went on being batted back and fore with no one taking responsibility until May 17 when I received an email from Adrian saying “. I’m passing your case directly to a UK expert who can better help answer your questions. You should see an email from them shortly, so keep an eye out.” Well it is now 25 July and still not a reply despite a couple of nudges from me. The final situation is that I have a site only showing a greyed out menu and nothing else. The menu is frozen.
I have spent approximately 350 hours of my time trying to solve the problem which I am sure you will agree is time wasted and if I charged my community for these hours at even the minimum wage it would cost them thousands of pounds which when they have only a few hundred in the bank would not be a viable proposition. Meanwhile the staff who are being paid are not doing their job of helping customers. I appreciate I am an amateur but that was the beauty of Weebly it was there for amateur and professionals alike and that was appreciated.
I have had Weebly websites for approx 30 years and have been a good ambassador for them as I belong to a national organisation and have recommended Weebly to hundreds of people.
Is it feasible to consider migrating to the Square Online platform or does this not offer you the functionality you require for your business?
