Giving staff access to locations they do not work at

There does not seem to be a way allow various people to see orders for all of our locations. Our bakery manager needs to be able to see all of the orders that will be picked up at all of our locations. She is assigned to one location, the Bakery. When running reports, only orders for the bakery show up, none of the farmers markets or stores are there. The same applies to our packing team. Our office manager cannot see all of our locations when creating invoices.

I do not want to assign the bakery manager to all of our 19 locations, I would then be charged for Team Plus for each location. The farmers market do not have any staff assigned to them, everyone is assigned to a single location: Farmers Markets. We do need to have each market entered as a location so customers can designate where to pick up their orders.

As it stands now, only the owner account is able to see all of the locations across all of the dashboard. As a result, numerous members of the staff must use the owner account to accomplish what needs to be done. Obviously, this is not a good state of affairs. It gives way too many people total access to the system. Bad.

I think this is the 5th or 6th year I have brought this up, and absolutely nothing has ever been done to address it. I can only conclude that Square wants us to assign people to each of our 19 locations so we will pay the $35 per location fee instead of our current 5 locations. It may be time to just move on to a major ERP package and leave all of these nickel-and-diming fees behind. Maybe then I will at least have a payroll system that will create a contact list for us.

@NoblePiesGuy Yea, that is a tough one.  The only thing I know you could do to get around this would be to not use the multiple locations, but add a modifier to each item that lists the location and require the customer to choose 1.  I am not saying it is elegant or user friendly.

I think the problem would be if you have different tax rates for each location.  You could do a custom integration that sends all the orders to 1 physical place and prints them out.  I wish I had a better workaround, but the essential problem is just what you said, each one has to be treated as a unique location.
