Has anyone here experimented with small interactive features to keep customers engaged online?
I came across bee game spell unlimited and wondered if similar ideas work in checkout flows.
Could adding something like this help with retention?
Or would it slow the payment process?
I appreciate the shout-out @Sammie_C I’m not sure that I’m the best person to weigh in on this. That’s mostly because I’m a Boomer who finds this sort of thing to be off-putting. I freely admit to abandoning carts (and websites) when this sort of thing happens.
That’s does not mean it is necessarily a bad thing, however, @neoma. I’m the type of shopper who goes where I want to get what I want quickly and with no fuss or hype. I might not be alone in my generation, but my generation might be the last one to feel this way.
That being said, have you Googled “Gamifying checkout flow” @neoma? I did so and found all sorts of very intriguing articles that weigh the pros and cons. A few even seemed to have interesting suggestions for using this to your advantage without turning off people like me. lol.
Thank you for your post, @neoma and welcome to the Square Community!
In all honesty, I am not super familiar with adding games/interactive features to your checkout flow. I would imagine that it could be helpful!
I'm going to tag in a couple of our Square Champions and see if they have any experience with this. @Candlestore, @TheRealChipA, and @rtfulk. Are you all familiar with these types of additions on checkout flows?
