Fulfillment times and limited hours

Hi Online Team, is there any talk about taking the "restricted dates" option a step further and giving us time restrictions? This comes up every. single. holiday. I need to be able to stop pickup/delivery times earlier than the normal schedule for holidays (and just any day our kitchen is short staffed TBH.) My option is to either turn off sales completely for these days, leave it on and then have to call customers and explain we can't fulfill their late order time, or try to be on top of dynamically changing hours in the system and hope human error doesn't screw it up too bad.

We don't personally use Square Online for retail (we use Squarespace for e-com and Square Appointments for our in store system which is amazing). But Squarespace also doesn't have a clean way to do this either (no system is truly perfect unfortunately!).

For Square Online, I would use a promo banner / popup to achieve what you're wanting to do. In Square Online, if you go to 'Communications' > 'Popups', you can make your own announcement basically explaining your current closure / shipping timeframes.

This is how we would do it on Squarespace as well. We have found people don't read anything anyway regardless where we include an important message unfortunately!! But this is probably the easiest solution to get it across to your customers.

Another option is you might be able to put a text content section at the top of your store on Square and include the message there so its front and centre.

I'm right there with you, @allwhowander! I called our customers this year, but did what @tomven suggested and created a pop-up with holiday hours, put it in the product description to double check holiday hours, and put it all over our website and social media.

Hopefully there will be a functionality implemented for this issue soon!
