Fitness Business - Group Bookings and Custom Forms - Argh...!!!

Setting up our new business with Square and everything has been simple and exciting.

 

We are launching fitness classes for locals, simple and unoriginal.

 

It has been so difficult to find a solution for an online form to embed into the website that sends info to our Square Online Customers list. Am I missing something?

 

No payment, just a medical screening form. So need to check pre-existing conditions and emergency contact details. Save it on file. Create a new customer if not already in Square, or add it to an existing customer by matching an email address or mobile. Sigh.

 

Secondly, I am pulling my hair out trying to arrange Group Bookings online. Just want a simple calendar section, where we can show our class types and times. Let website visitors book a spot if they like. Obviously more than one person per time. Argh.

 

Anyone able to help, I figured MANY businesses would want these two simple features from Square.

I noticed you reached on this existing thread which discusses current options for creating forms online. In addition to your comment, we strongly recommend submitting your feedback as a feature request for Square Appointments. This will ensure our Product Team has better visibility on this feature and can continue to track this moving forward. 

Unfortunately, I am unable to offer any further workarounds here other than the suggestion to build Google Forms into your Square Online site. You can then upload these forms to the relevant profiles within your Customer Directory.

We can certainly appreciate your frustration around the inability to create group bookings with Square Appointments. Currently, Square Appointments doesn’t support booking classes or group sessions, where a limited number of clients can sign up for the same session. We are continuing to track this popular feature request here and once we have an update to share, this will be posted within the thread.
 

One alternative is to schedule overlapping sessions for each client on your account. Please keep in mind that it’s only possible for you to create overlapping appointments manually, on your calendar. Your customers won’t be able to book overlapping appointments. We also suggest reaching out to our Support Team directly to speak with one of our Square Appointments specialists who can walk you through any available workarounds.

1. Sign in to your Square account

2. Head to our contact page https://squ.re/3AWfZs2

3. Go to "Other", then "I don't see my issue"

4. Click "Message us", "Email us" or "Call Us"

 

Or, if you see the new chatbot help flow, type “support” to bring up a list of contact methods.

That thread regards "Group Bookings" is now over two years old...!

 

I doubt a solution is coming any time soon.

 

I have been waiting over two days for help from Square Appointments.

 

As a customer I do not like being ignored. I will source a different platform now.
