Feature Requests: Variable Sync Settings for Product Titles on Dashboard vs. Online

We have used Square Dashboard/POS for our extensive product inventory for a number of years. We are now in the process of setting up our online store and syncing our product info across.

We have come across an issue where there is no option to alter how Product Titles appear on the website, without also altering their names on Dashboard. 

Our stock-keeping system is dependent on the shorthand we use to name our products for our staff's reference. We want to retain these on our physical POS, whilst displaying a different Product Title to customers online. 

This feature is available on most of the other e-commerce platforms.

It is not viable for us to un-sync and have to manually change stock levels. Is there any other workaround for this?

I can definitely see how this would be a useful feature for businesses like yours where you're using different codes for products internally, and externally. At this time, there isn't a workaround that would allow you to keep item names separate while keeping stock synced, unfortunately. We're looking to incorporate additional features for the Square Online platform, and I have shared your request with our product team to see if we can support this in the future.
