Feature Request - Export library with custom attribute

I want to be able to see a custom attribute on the exported library, however; that capability does not appear to be available. Does anyone know if it can be done and/or how to do it?

Re: Feature Request - Export library with custom attribute

Thanks for following up on this one @RIVAA@biercuterie, @TGPH, @briefly_beautif.

We currently don't have any new information to share. However, if there are any updates in the future, we’ll make sure to inform everyone here.

In the meantime, I recommend checking out the feature Laurie mentioned earlier in this thread. This feature allows you to bulk-edit your custom attributes, which may help you manage them more efficiently.

Thanks, @Katie_SQ, but the feature you mentioned is not a workaround. As soon as you manually type things around on a website with data, it will be wrong. And I just discovered that while there's an API to do this, it's missing features like relating vendors and unit costs. We add hundreds of unique items weekly to our system; bulk editing doesn't solve our issue. It's super frustrating.. I wish we knew this before we got started. It's having us look for another platform.

Following this thread. We too have a need to use the Custom Attribute fields to generate reports to 'tag' our inventory items. Viewing the filtered list on the dashboard just isn't feasible.

+1 ... seems to really limit the potential of custom attributes if they can't be exported/imported

Adding on to this. I've made a post myself on this exact topic. Has there been any movement on adding these columns to the Library Export?

We just don't understand the half-step approach of including this but not having any ability to use it fully. We are several years in on this thread and there are obviously a ton of businesses that would benefit from this function.
