Can you move customers onto different dates for events once they have purchased a ticket

Hi, @GMally ! 

 

You can’t directly move a customer’s ticket from one event date to another within Square at this time, since each event ticket is tied to the specific date and order they purchased.

 

However, there are a few simple ways to handle this:

 

Option 1: Refund and rebook

You can issue a refund for the original ticket and then either:

  • Send the customer a new link to purchase the ticket for the correct date, or

  • Manually create a new order for them and send an invoice or checkout link.

This is the cleanest way to keep your sales and attendance records accurate.

 

Option 2: Manual roster adjustment (for classes or appointments)

If you’re using Square Appointments (Classes)

  • Cancel the original booking, and rebook the customer into a different class or event time manually.

This keeps their attendance record but doesn’t automatically transfer the payment. You may need to note the change or adjust payment manually.
