Editing theme inside categories

i know I've done it once during setup, but I'm in the process of redoing the themes and layout, but i cannot find how to change the colour and layout theme of the items inside the category. When a customer opens my website, and then opens a category to find an item, they will be shown old colours and themes that don't match the frontpage of the website.

someone please help.

Hi @ElektraFyd, welcome to the Square Community!

 

To change the color and layout theme within your site, feel free to follow these steps:

1. Sign in to Square Dashboard and go to Websites.

2. Click Website > Edit Site.

3. Select Site design > Colors and choose a main color to use primarily throughout your site. 

4. Choose secondary colors by selecting +.

5. Choose a color style to set as the default style for all sections on your site, or select Customize to create one of your own. You can change color styles for individual sections by selecting the section and choosing a style in the editing panel.

6. Select Done and Publish your site to see the changes live.

To then change the colors within your Category, you will want to select the specific category you are looking to edit, and then there will be a "Layout" and "Color Style" section where you can then select your preferred choice from. Here is a screenshot showing those sections:

Thank you but this only changes the main page view of the web page. Im trying to change the theme inside the category past the main page when people are looking at the items.

See this is the main page that has all the categories and features items. This is all changed the way i want it....

This is the view inside the categories that hold the actual items, I was able to set up the colour scheme when I opened the site, but now I cannot find how to change the colour scheme inside the categories where the actual items are. And feedback from people say its too dark and seeing the writing and price is difficult. I want to set the colour scheme to match the front page.

When I am viewing those sections, I am seeing other editing options available. Below is a screenshot of the selection of colors and themes to choose from. Here is a link directly to that section, as well.

A quick question that could influence what features are available. Are you using the free Square Online version?

Thank you so much for the link,  it worked perfectly.

I use the free option, I've never had the pay option either.

That menu is what im looking for, so how did you get to it. So I can find it in the future if I need to.
