EU LOCATION

I have set up a Square account in Ireland and am now in Portugal for a few months. I want to sell my artwork im Portugal but when I try to accept payment manually I get Invalid location. How do I resolve this please?

Hey @Deskal! Thank you for your question, happy to provide some clarity here.

 

At the moment, Square hardware can only be used in the country where it was originally purchased.

This means that card transactions attempted outside of the country where you purchased your hardware can’t be processed with Square. 

 

However, you can accept cash transactions while traveling internationally.

 

Note: If you’re in the country where you activated your Square account and purchased your card hardware, you can process international cards.
