I have a domain that is hosted with Square. I am trying to forword it to another domain hosted on another platform. I want customers who type in or click on my square hosted domain to be taken to my other domain. When i enter the domain to forward to, it keeps adding a www. in front of it causing an issue when trying to click on the link. ie: www.northernexposurecrystals.com forworded to https://mynorthernexposure.com . It keeps wanting to forword it as https://www.mynorthernexposure.com which is two different domains. Is there a way to fix this?
@jbniceguy I haven't had this on Square's site, but I know you can edit the dns records in your online square online dashboard.
Option 1: Use DNS Records Instead of Square's Forwarding
If Square forces www. on redirects, you can bypass this by managing the DNS directly:
Go to add DNS record under domains and manage.
Set an A record for northernexposurecrystals.com → Point it to the IP address of mynorthernexposure.com (get this from your other dns settings/registrar).
Use a CNAME for www.northernexposurecrystals.com → Point it to mynorthernexposure.com.
This method ensures that both versions (www and non-www) resolve correctly.
Option 2: Fix It on the Destination Domain
If www.mynorthernexposure.com is the issue, you can:
Create a redirect on the receiving server so www.mynorthernexposure.com properly routes to mynorthernexposure.com.
Ensure the destination hosting accepts both www and non-www versions of the domain.
I think either one of these should fix it for you, the other option is you can transfer your domain away from square.

@Donnie-M thanks for providing these great options to try.
@jbniceguy Please let us know if Donnie's proposed solutions worked, and if not, I will reach out to our ecommerce team and see if there is anything they can do.
