Does anyone use sqaure appointments for their Salon?

Hi I’ve been with square for a few years now but just recently bought the new square register and decided to move my booking software to sqaure appointments and I’m struggling to easily use it. I can’t seem to find any where to rebook my client for say 6 weeks from today so I’ve had to continue using my old booking system to easily jump 6 weeks to find the date and then book on sqaure 🤦🏽‍♂️ Can anyone help?

Sadly the Register has been a very frustrating disappointment for us also.  We purchased it in June and replaced an ageing Square Stand.  Our staff hate it, it randomly shuts down in the middle of transactions and takes an age to restart.  We have just had a replacement one shipped to us, but the exact same problem exists.  I'm sorry to say that no, there is no easy way to do a rebook, you just have to count the weeks out on the calendar.

Sorry to hear you've had a hard time with Square Register. This is certainly not the kind of experience we'd expect from the device - have you been in touch with our support team at all to try troubleshooting the issue? By the sounds of it, if you have had two Square Registers with the same issue, this may be related to something other than the devices themselves - eg possibly with the local network, or perhaps with the Square account itself.

Are you able to confirm what version of the Square Register software you're using? Do you leave the device turned on (in sleep mode) to ensure any critical updates can be applied overnight?

Hey so if enough people let Square know that we would like a jump week button it may become a feature is what I was told. So be sure to let admin know that it would a million times more effective and so many new businesses would come on board because I don’t know any hair and beauty/cosmetic enhancers that don’t use a jump week function
