The title of this thread has been edited by a Square Moderator from the original: "Disambiguating AUD and USD"
My square website is in Australia and charges in AUD. The products do appear with the "A$" prefix, which disambiguates the $ prefix as being AUD (and not USD).
However once you get to the checkout page, the items are shown with "A$" but the right hand cart summary just uses "$". And then going to the payment page, all signs of "A$" have vanished, and everything is shown as "$" (even thought this is an AUD payment amount still).
This leaves most of the US customers I have constantly asking if the right amount got charged - I've added a big banner to every page with bolded text to confirm things are in AUD, but the problem is those pages are the pages showing "A$" already, they still end up in the non-customizable checkout flow that continues to not disambiguate the dollar currency for non-USD currencies.
Can this be adjusted (or the bug fixed)? I've no doubt I lose plenty of US customers due to being unsure if the amount shown is AUD or USD - it looks like USD to them, by the time they hit checkout, and that makes things look 50% more expensive.
