Difference in Square deposit and deposit received in Xero

Hello All, I use Square with Xero at my cafe. I've identified a problem where the daily sales recorded in Square differs from the deposit received for the corresponding day. I've double and triple checked and I can't find the cause of the problem. Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for reaching out and sorry to hear you're having trouble with the Xero integration.

 

While I'm not able to look into your account and how it is set up via our Seller Community forum, do note that your sales reports and deposit reports will differ - your sales report in Square is made up of all transactions (including cash and other payment types) while your deposit report will be for card payments only (eg we don't send the cash payments you collect to your bank).

 

You can view Square's transfer reports via your dashboard, which should correlate with Xero deposit reports.
