Delivery Days and Times

Hi

 

Currently the only delivery times/options available are all linked to the store opening times and preparation times.

 

I dont want customers to be able to select a time slot as this doesnt work for my business.  All our orders are advertised to be delivered the next day if ordered before 5pm the previous day.

 

So I have 2 questions:

 

1.  Is there a way that i can automatically set orders to have a delivery date of the next day if ordered before a certain time?

 

2.  Is there a way customers could select from a list of days that they want delivery on (WITHOUT a time slot, just a day) so they could order far a day in the future

 

The closest I can get so far is setting my items as taking a day to prepare, so when a customer orders a 1pm, there order confirmation says it will be delivered the next day between 13:00-13:00

 

Id like to remove the time and just have the day, and be able to just set a day in the future to select without any timeslots at all

Hi Rick,

 

Glad to see your message, we are having the same issue and would love to see functionality where we can disable delivery time and instead allow customers to select preferred delivery date only with text field to request preferred delivery time.

 

Hoping there is a solution for this.

Hi @Rick-PFC, thanks for your post!

 

1. You can do this by disable the Scheduled delivery option and set your prep time to 1 business day. This way when customer order, they will automatically be assign a time slot based on your delivery hours and prep time. 

 

2. It isn't possible to select just a date for delivery without a timeslot at the moment. I can definitely see how this would be an useful feature so I'll be sure to flag this with the appropriate team for consideration.

 

In the meantime, a workaround I've seen other sellers use is make the dates the item modifiers. This way, customer will be able to select them when adding item to cart.

Hi @Aphora, thanks for following up on this thread!

 

I know the team are looking to roll out a feature that would remove the estimate time but I don't have an exact timeline to share at the moment. I will be sure to follow up on this thread when I have more information from our team.

Hi, Any update on this please?

 

We really require the ability to disable the time slot feature while retaining the date selection.

 

This is preventing us from launching our web store so any update on this would be much appreciated.

Hi @SFN, thank you for your post!

 

Our team has launched the feature to disable the timeslot feature. However, if you have the timeslot disabled, customers will not be able to select a date at checkout. Rather, they'll see a short note with instructions to let them know when their orders will be available or how businesses will get in touch with them regarding their orders.

If you have a specific date or a specific date range that customers can collect their orders, a workaround would be to create your pickup date as modifier and applied it to your items. You can make the modifier compulsory so customers will have to choose a date before they can add item to check out.
