Deleted items stat published on my site.

Hi

 I’m setting up my site.
i have deleted items as a result of making them a variation of another item. Unfortunately 4 items keep published on my site but they no longer exists in my item inventory.  Each time I attempt to update my item list, then sort the list on the website editor so it looks perfect, I publish the update and the phantom items are still published, and they’re automatically allocated to the top the list and out of stock.
I’m ready to go live to my audience but I can’t until these phantom Item don’t show.
i can’t even make them invisible because they don’t exist on my item list.
Your bell is much appreciated.
thanks

Hi there, @Hill210, thanks for reaching out to let us know!

It's a bit tricky following along here without access to your Square Online settings, so we'll need to gather some more information here.

Are you able to send through a screenshot of these phantom items appearing on your Square Online site, and a screenshot of your site items?

If you could also include a link to your site in your reply so we can observe this behaviour, that would be helpful.

We'll keep a lookout for your reply here.

Hi @Hill210,

Just stepping in while @Laurie_ is out. Are you editing your items via your Square Online Dashboard? You'll want to go to Items > Site Items, to edit the items displayed on your website:

From there, find the items you don't want to display on your site. You can either delete the item(s), or mark them as hidden, in case you're still selling the item in person. Please let us know how you go!

Thanks Arie

Yes I am.

I don’t make individual item changes whilst editing the site.

But When I do edit my site, they don’t display in the item list, so I couldn’t make any changes there. They only show in the preview or the published site. As they don’t exist in my inventory I can’t select them to hide or delete even from the dashboard.

Editing and removing items should generally happen via Items > Site Items, rather than the actual site editor. But it's odd these items aren't in your site items, while still showing up when editing the website.

I'd recommend reaching out to our support team here, @Hill210. You can call support on 1800 760 137 (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm Melbourne time), or contact us via online chat or email:

1. Sign in to your Square account

2. Head to our contact page https://squareup.com/help/au/en/contact

3. Click on any topic, then "I don't see my issue"

4. Click "Message us" or "Email us"

Or, if you see the new chatbot help flow, type "support" to bring up a list of contact methods.

Hi Laurie, I have the same issue. Have you been able to resolve it? If you have,

would you be kind enough to share how it can be corrected?

Cheers

Ruuska

Hi there @Cogs

Thanks for touching base with us here and sorry to hear you're also running into something similar with your Square Online site items.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure what the outcome was with the item issues @Hill210 was experiencing. As a general rule, if you have removed your item using the above steps, and can also confirm that these items are no longer showing in your Item Library, the next step would be to unpublish and publish your site again.

If these steps don't resolve the issue, we recommend touching base with our Support Team and connecting with a Square Online specialist who can take a closer look at this from their end.

You can call support on 1800 760 137 (Mon - Fri, 9 am - 5 pm Melbourne time). If you call outside of these hours, you will need to enter your Customer Code to access 24/7 support.

You can find your customer code right on our Support Centre:

1. Select your location > Next.
2. Select your topic.
3. Select I don’t see my issue.
4. Select Call us and your customer code will appear.

Let us know how you go here!

Hi Laurie

i replied to the email as I do not have permission to upload photos on this page.
The photos demonstrated 6 items in my item list and 10 items in the website preview before publishing.
