Default Shipping Label Size

I am having problems with the default shipping label size. I have it defaulted in Online->Fulfillment->Shipping to 4"x6". Shippo is also set to default to 4"x6". When I create a label for shipping the default shows as 8.5"x11" and I must manually change it to 4"x6". About 30% of the time, I forget to change it and am stuck printing an 8.5"x11" paper label and manually taping it to the box. This is quite irritating. Is there a way to fix this? I have no desire to ever see the 8.5"x11" option.

Hello @3DMiata !

 

I'm sorry to hear that your default settings are not being applied when you print shipping labels. 

 

The process to print shipping labels recently changed and was migrated to the Square Dashboard (instead of the Online section), are you using this new process or are you printing from the Shippo interface? 

 

Let me know so I can escalate this issue to the appropriate team!

Yes, this is done in the new section for printing labels. The drop box is not picking up the default configuration.

I reached out to the Square Online Support Team, but it was difficult for them to pinpoint what may be happening without looking at this with you.

Could you please send a screenshot of what you're seeing while you're trying to do this? Specifically, the drop box? Then, we can take a closer look.

Hi again, @3DMiata - You'll use the camera icon to upload the images. Just make sure you're signed in to your Seller Community account first 🙂

This is how the dialog opens. Note that I have the default set to 4x6. I have no desire to even have an 8.5x11

Hi there again, @3DMiata - The Square Online Team let me know that, "This is most likely working as intended because of the new flow for creating shipping labels through the Dashboard instead of in the Square Online Dashboard. We did write up a support ticket to have the engineers confirm."

 

I'll follow up with you again here, once we have received an update from engineering.
