Hi @winstons 👋 thanks for your post!
Have you set this up on your website? Square Appointments doesn’t currently support pre-authorising payment cards or collecting security deposits.
If you give me some more details about your set-up I'd be happy to try and come up with some workarounds or solutions here!

I am thrilled that they have finally incooperated a deposit option, however; it is not available on the terminal, meaning the remaining transaction will need to be done on desktop. This not only costs more money for us as the business for the transaction, but also is a bigger risk for fraud or chargeback! This needs to be figured out as well.
👋 Hi @HArmstrongSP, thank you for taking the time to comment! I have a note out to the team working on Deposits to see if I can get a response to your feedback or make sure I submit it formally for their review. I will be back with an update when I receive one. Thanks for your patience!
Hello there, @HArmstrongSP! I spoke with the Appointments team and confirmed deposits can currently be configured on either web dashboard or iOS, however it is on the roadmap to develop this functionality on both Android and Square devices. If you have any other feedback, you are also welcome to email the team directly at [email protected]. Thanks again for writing. 😊
