Customers not able to see all items

It appears that a change was made to Weebly/Square sometime in the last 24 hours so that now, outside of normal business/pickup hours, our online store does not show any of our items available for pickup the next day. It seems we can only see those items when we select "all items" from the dropdown, versus the default "Available now." 


This is really unfortunate for our business, and I imagine may others, that allow people to preorder for pickup the next day. People are used to going to our website to see what items we have available the next day, and reserving them for pickup in the morning. Today, they are going to our site and they are only seeing one item -- a t-shirt -- which is the only item we make available for shipping and not just for pickup.  It's confusing and it makes our site look broken.

 

I'm learning that if people use the dropdown and change to "all items," they can still see the items for the morning and add them to our cart.  But now this another hurdle we have to explain to our customers, and many of them will not realize they should do this.  Can you please consider changing this feature back to the way it was before, or giving shopowners the option to display either way?? 

 

Anyone else having this issue?

So sorry for the trouble here with your Item Availability and dropdown - this sounds strange, indeed. I went ahead and flagged this over to one of our Ecom specialists, to try and get some extra context as to why this could be occurring for you.

 

First things first, can you confirm that you have not set up any Time Based Categories? This would set specific items to be only available at certain times throughout the day or week.

 

More likely, it sounds like this may be a bug or glitch. Would you mind pushing this to the attention of our Support Team? They can take a deep dive into your settings and see if there is any discrepancy that needs to be pushed to our Engineers.

Hi Joe - Thanks for your response. Glad to hear that this sounds like a glitch and not a planned change.  It's been a few days since I first reported this to the support team. I chatted with someone for 30 minutes but when they couldn't figure it out they told me they would escalate it and that we would receive an email when they had an update. That was Wednesday afternoon - no email yet and no update.  I was later able to figure out for myself that this seems to be linked with our open-for-business hours, and that everything was disappearing at 2 pm when we close for the day and only reappearing when we open at 9 the next morning. I still don't know if that's really the case, but it seems to be a pattern the last few days. 

 

I do have time-based categories set up for two out of our 10+ categories. Those two categories only show up and are only available for purchase during the certain days we have set. But on top of that / in addition, all of the other categories now ALSO disappear outside of our normal business hours.  They are still available for purchase (which is different from the time-based categories) and pickup later/during business hours, but only if someone is able to find them by using the "all items" drop-down menu.
