Customer cannot checkout - shipping address

Good morning.  I was contacted by someone who said they could not check out because they were told their ship to address was not valid.  This has happened before and we worked around it.  Does anyone have any suggestion as to what the issue could be ?  Thank you

Addresses on the checkout page are validated by Google, but there should be an option to manually input the address as well. Can you post a link to your website so we can take a look? 

Out of curiosity, how did you previously work around the issue?
