Hello!
We've been sending out a bunch of coupons recently as appreciation for our Indiegogo Campaign supporters. I want to limit the use of the coupons. I tried setting up a coupon for $15 off specific items. However, when you pick a list of items or a category you get this message "Discount will be applied to each item in the order."
When i set this up originally a customer ordered 2 of the sandwiches and it took $15 each item, versus $15 off the order. I changed the coupon to be $15 off the entire order which does not limit what people can buy. I found this set up to be confusing. I thought that by picking specific items it would just take $15 off total from the order but that a customer had to pick one of the items selected to apply the coupon. Maybe I misunderstand, but how else can we restrict how a coupon is used?
Hello @murisseattle
So you'd like to apply the discount to certain items only, but only once per order?
That would be at the moment a feature request,
You can create coupons and limit the number of times they can be used and how many times a single customer can use them, but if you select to discount specific items, the discount will be applied once per item.
Maybe the option to discount orders over a certain amount would work best for you if you want people to spend over a certain dollar amount.
Let me know if I'm understanding what you need correctly!
