Cookie Consent Banner affects site depending on option clicked

The default cookie consent banner is displayed when a user enters our site.

 

If a user clicks 'Allow all Cookies' then the site functions correctly.

 

However, if the user clicks 'Use necessary Cookies only' the following occurs :-

 

1. - No product images are displayed, only grey 'pulsing' boxes in place of the image.

 

2. - Configured product 'Options' such as length and colour are not displayed once an item has been put into the cart.

 

The above can be readily observed on across multiple machines using different browsers, on different IP networks, and via both desktop and mobile too.

 

This issue is affecting our ability to finalise this online offering.

 

How do we get this resolved?  Many thanks.

Thanks for flagging this and for all of the details included. Can you share a link to your site here and I will try to replicate the issue? I have had another report of this which our team are looking into - I'm not sure if it comes down to us or CookieBot (the banner provider) just yet.

I can confirm that 1 of the 2 issues I reported appears to be fixed.

 

Images are now correctly showing regardless of which cookie option is selected.

 

However, the other issue still remains.  I am now not convinced though that it relates to cookies.

 

The problem, in a nutshell, is products can have variations and/or options associated with them.

 

When a product and one of its variations is selected these are subsequently displayed when viewing the cart

 

When an option is selected these are not always displayed when viewing the card. Sometimes they are, but I have not been able to recreate the conditions to toggle this behavior. When they do display, they erroneously overwrite the product item value and the quantity that would otherwise have been displayed.

 

It appears to me that you are phasing out variations in favour of options - confirmation of this would be helpful.  If I convert variations to options, as per your guide within you help documents, then the options appear to be always correctly displayed without overwriting the item value and quantity.  This is normal and desired behaviour.

 

This bug is causing us some problems and confirmation of existence would be good.

Hi @La10 - sorry I completely missed your second point when you initially posted this. 

 

I had a look at your site but I couldn't replicate this with any of the items I selected. I will just need to test this to visualise it - can you give an example of an item you've encountered this with? Thanks!
