Contact on Mobile

I cannot get this working and there is another string but this is not related. Read carefully:

 

On my mobile the Contact Me page shows up correctly when I SCROLL. However, when at the top of the page at the dropdown when I select Contact Me the page appears blank. I have tried deleting the app, reinstalling but I don't know where to clear the cache as there's no option in my iphone setting for the Square app.

 

Should it be showing blank?

Understood.  Ok, we have an editor/publisher issue and as a fellow sellers, I will not be able to access and see what you are seeing there.  SO…… let’s do this.  I’m going to send you a private message so we can set up a Zoom call together.  There you can sign into your account and, hopefully, I can guide you through whatever steps are needed to resolve this.  Be on the lookout for a private message.  When you click your name in the upper fight-hand corner of the Community here, you’ll find this under Messages.  There’s even a new message bubble there so you know you have a new message.

Hey there @pinkcricket.  It would help a lot to see exactly what you are trying to describe.  Please reply with the URL of your website.

 

As far as clearing your cache, that is an operating system function, not a Square function.  Here’s a helpful article that outlines how to do this on most devices.

edit: if you are reviewing this on the desktop and switch to mobile that seems fine. It is when I preview this on my Iphone where it is wrong.

Anyway your terminology is very confusing. What do you mean by “the issue is on the mobile?” What is “the mobile” as opposed to the browser? 

it would help a lot to see a video of what you are seeing. I’m just not connecting the dots based on your explanation at all, and I’ve been doing this for years. Post a link to a video?

Sorry. I will have to figure out how to take a video and send.

Let me try again:

What i mean is when I am looking at my physical iphone, I go to Online/site, go to the top (has home, about, etc), I pull down Contact. It shows up blank pages. That should be where my Contact page that I designed and it isn't.

Now, on the same iphone, you go to Online/site and just scroll with your finger down to the Contact page, the page I set up is there! Why is it not there when I do the pulldown from the top? That is the issue. Does this make sense now?

 

Is there a way to send screenshots to you? How do I do that?

Thank you.  That helped.  I went back and reviewed the conversation so far and realized that this is a problem with the online website editor.  Honestly, this sounds like some sort of issue with the editor interface, and that it is probably not an issue that is going to affect the final published website.  In order to test my theory, I’m going to request that you publish your website so that I can look at it.  Don’t worry.  You’ll be able to unpublish it again afterwards.  Please publish the site (even if it is not quite completed) and let me know when you are finished.

Hey again.  So, I went to your published website.  When I click on your menu drop-down and select “Contact” it displays the screen asking for an email address on my iPhone 16.  I do not need to scroll.  See screen shot below.

 

This tells me that something is wrong on the device/browser where you are editing your website using Square Online.  It is definitely not a problem with Square.  I would recommend that you clear that device’s browser history and cookies and reboot your phone.  Then try again.  That should make it work.  If it doesn’t, you may have to deal with tech support for your phone and/or browser.  But I doubt that Square will be able to help you here since the website you published IS working.

 

I’m sorry that I can’t help you more, other than confirm that your website is working as intended, I think, so you don’t have to worry about that part.  Your customers won’t be seeing any errors or issues, I don’t think.

This is wrong and what I am trying to point out. I have a full form I added and it is only appearing when I scroll with my finger as I mentioned. It is different than what you are seeing. 

It should look like the screenshot I am attaching.  Can you see it? If not how do I show you?
