We have an online store, Brick N Mortar and a restaurant which means we pay for every kind of Square. We are selling custom candy mixes and we were using Modifiers to allow people to choose their options, but without inventory tracking this got really dangerous as each candy type is also being sold in store. Right now we have an embedded form BUT because we can't modify the Product layout in Square, the embedded form is below the button and OFTEN missed which means following up with the customer every time: https://www.rivercitytreats.ca/product/pick-n-mix-custom-candy-mix/555?cp=true&sa=false&sbp=false&q=...
The form allows the customer to choose multiples of something, it has pricing, it tracks the inventory and it has more control over the look than the actual Square Online. The only issue is it's not linked to Square and it's clunky the way it is embedded. Is there a better tool out there or has anyone found a better option? Thanks!
Welcome back to the Square Community, @RiverCityTreats! 🍬 My name is Violet and I'm one of the Moderators here 🙂
While we aren't able to provide support on custom coding, I took a look at the embedded forum you're using. I selected the "choose 5" option and noticed I was able to make more than 5 selections, even though the 6th option added more to my total.
I can reach out to the Square Online Support team to see if they have any suggestions for perhaps, a less complicated setup that still achieves what you need. I'll let you know what I find out!
Hoping other Sellers with similar setups see your post and offer their advice as well 🤞
That would be fantastic. I know there are other retailers who are selling items by weight and being able to track inventory and allowing customers to create customized products would be extremely helpful. It's our most popular product and it's a market that is going to be expanding in order to stay competitive in online sales.
