Change Holiday Hours

Hello! When will the custom holiday hours feature become available?

Specifically, I believe that myself, and thousands of other users would like the feature to change one day (say, Thanksgiving/Christmas)'s hours without changing every weekday's hours or without closing for the entire day. For example, I don't want to change every Monday's hours to 9a - 2p OR I don't want to close for every Monday, I only want to change the hours on specifically 12/24 to 9a - 2p.

 

I see that this request has been made quite a few times in the Seller Community since 2017 at least, so I'm hoping the community, and myself, can get an update as to when this feature will become available.

You’re spitting into the wind, dude. When it is available, or when it is being beta tested, you’ll know. Otherwise, snarkiness will not make it a priority.

 

Oh and there is a formal feature request avenue you seem to have missed. Go here. Submit it to the Online Team. Or the Commerce Team. Or the Team of your choice. Truly, snarkiness will not win friends. (Speaking as a fellow seller)

@Mike_M Here’s a great example from my bad last two weeks. My ice cream machine broke. I had to close unexpectedly for an unknown period of time.  So rather than griping about what Square didn’t give me, I made what they did give me work. 

i disabled the hours section of my footer. I changed my home page to say what was going on. Everyone saw it. Everyone understood it. I made lemonade out of lemons. I’ve been re-opened 4 days now. The feedback has been “wow you know how to communicate in unexpected situations.” 

Thinking outside the box. It’s what great business owners do. Truly, I understand your frustration. But options are available. And they don’t require snark.

I wish I had thought about using Dashboard -> online-> pop ups to alert my customers. That would have been even better. That was an option I missed, sadly, even though the options I used were more than sufficient.
