I was wondering if anyone was able to upload vedios for items on there Square free site.

HI, yes, you can upload Youtube Videos to your free site.  

Online Dashboard, Website, Edit Site, select Page or +Add Section, scroll down to Video, select Layout, Add, Adjust your settings, Done
