Our retail POS won’t let me remove the **bleep**s app without unsubscribing. We would like to be able to have our team members use their personal code without having to clock in since we do not use square shifts as our scheduling system. I have followed the steps to remove the add on but it won’t allow me to. Anyone know hoe to change that?

Unfortunately, Square's system is designed so that employee codes are intrinsically linked to the Team Management functionality, including the clock-in feature. The basic Team Management (free version) is required to maintain employee codes, and there isn't a way to completely remove this feature while keeping the ability to use employee codes. This is a deliberate part of Square's system architecture to maintain accountability and tracking.
However, there are a few ways you can work with the system to minimize the impact on your operations. You can downgrade to the free Team Management version (rather than Team Plus) and set up a simplified clock-in process. While employees will still need to clock in, you can configure it to be as streamlined as possible. Some businesses handle this by having employees do a quick clock-in at the start of their first transaction of the day and clock-out at the end, even if they're not using it for actual time tracking.
