[The title of this thread has been edited from the original: Appointments: Error message 'Please provide a valid mobile number' for international bookings]
Hi,
I set up my Square appointments but it gives an error message for those who try to book with international telephone numbers. The error message appears while trying to confirm their details and completing their bookings although Square uses the same international mobile numbers and sends them a sign-in code. Any solution to this issue. Thanks.
Hello @Sherine,
Thank you for posting in the Seller Community. Welcome.
Happy to look into this with our Appointments Team, but first, what is the URL to your booking Site?
Please let me know by replying in this thread. I'll keep an eye out for your response.
Hello @Alex_ ,
Thanks for the reply and warm welcome. Here is my booking Link

Please note that I used the customer directory To try to fix countries (from US & Canada to their countries of origin) & the phone numbers to the correct ones (as the last digit was deleted in each).
Thx again. Awaiting your reply.
Hi @Sherine,
I've checked in with our Appointments Team, and currently we do not have the ability to book appointments with international numbers.
We definitely see how it could benefit your business model. Our teams are constantly looking through our seller's feedback to make necessary improvements, and we will be sure to let you know if anything ever changes or if new updates are released.
Hi @Alex_
Thx for the reply. Is there a turnaround?
I don’t understand why would the system allows to send a code to international numbers while signing in but it doesn’t do the same after booking the appointment?! It seems as if it is just collecting private data from people who use it!!!
Also, why wouldn’t be the email as the method of confirmation for bookings vs. The telephone number?!
i really see that there are multiple ways that Square could sort this out with little effort, if any, but not sure if it only counts on North American numbers as if sellers are not allowed to do business with international clients.
Please let me know as this is critical to me. I already spent a few days figuring out the system and a solution for this Issue. I hope I haven’t wasted my time.
