Can I turn breadcrumb nav on item pages off?

Hello. In my store, on item pages, there's breadcrumb navigation, like so:

CATEGORY > ITEM NAME

My question is, can I turn these off? I created custom landing pages for the categories that are nicer and I don't want to direct people to the very bland category pages that I can't edit (and only contain a couple items anyway). 

Possible?

It is not possible to remove the category navigation links at this time, if an item belongs to a category.

Thank you for the link to the help page. Here's what's weird: in my site editor, I don't see any category pages to edit. Any ideas?

When you are on the main Overview page, do you see Items > Site Categories?

What do you see when you select Site Categories, @DerekP?

If you see categories there, but no corresponding category pages, you might want to give us a call!
