Can I make fulfilment method selection a required action on my Square Online site?

The title of this thread has been edited from the original: Fulfilment default and "How to get it".

Hi

 

Is there a way to remove all options in the default fulfilment method ? So that a customer has to physically click the service required in the "How to get it" section when viewing a product in your online store. 

Or is there a way to colour in the "How to get it" section on the website so it's more bold that the service is whichever is auto selected ? As a thin black line around the box doesn't really help especially when most are viewing on small mobile screens.

 

I have lost the will with having to constantly refund and lose the fees for customers who "didn't realise' it was Store pickup only item or who left the service on store pickup and required shipping! So we then have to send a separate invoice for the delivery charge.

I do not believe there is.

 

I am sure even if it was blank people would still mess it up lol - I found by setting mine to default local delivery (i offer free local delivery) I still get customers somehow changing the default to shipping and paying shipping on free delivery

Unfortunately, there isn't a way to have the default fulfilment method unselected on your Square Online site. When multiple fulfilment methods are available, the "How to get it" section will always show with the default method pre-selected.

I can certainly appreciate the challenges this can cause, especially when customers overlook the fulfillment method. I’m hoping more Sellers in the Community will join this thread shortly and share their workarounds for similar situations.

For suggestions on improving this design, I recommend submitting a Feature Request on our Ideate board, or search for existing requests you can add your support to.

I have already done a feature request maybe over a year ago now 🙂 

 

I have now put in an extra modifier feature which is automated on all the products that do not have shipping available and i'm hoping that because the modifier is in the basket on every item you add and do not realise its store pickup they might at least see it 🤞 and even if it drops this by 10% it would save so much admin and refund fee loss. 

 

I will pop a couple of example here for anyone else who has issues like I do.
