Blue Order Notifications Badge

@Joe: How do we turn off the blue notification badge? Is it device specific or account specific?

Hi there, @MAXSDELI 👋 The only way to remove notifications in the App would be to view each notification, this will cause the blue number to dissapear.

Thanks @Joe, I was hoping there was a way to toggle it off for incoming Online orders but i guess not. 

As for my other post regarding Square Online vs. Online Order, what’s the verdict on that?

My previous post was regarding the new orders delineation, SQUARE ONLINE rather than ONLINE STORE. Ours still reads and prints ONLINE STORE on tickets. See attached

Still here.  I realize the Beta Community must be helpful to someone, but I find it cumbersome to find any useful information.  I hate starting a new thread, but I have difficulty finding current answers to issues.  The answer reply dates are in no order that I can determine...and scrolling through thousands of replies seems counterproductive.

Im happy to answer anything you may have that's come up, and you can always DM me and I can point you in the right direction.

 

With the expansion of our beta program and the bigger tests and need for larger test audiences, I'm invested in making this the best experience for you - I just need to know a bit more about what the issues you're facing in navigation. Happy to jump on a call with you if you'd like.

Thank-you for your offer to help make the experience better.  I realize my feeling of disconnect from the beta program is my issue.  I didn't realize how much I valued the connection to the smaller beta group until it changed.

 

Anyway...enough of that.

 

Yes, there is a problem.  I tried to tag you, but for some reason your name didn't pop up.  The Retail Item Variations order has become jumbled.  Posted issue with App and Retail examples.  A spot check shows that most of the Retail Variations have changed while the App and Dashboard are still in the order we determined.

I totally understand that. I'd still love for you to join us in the round table events. I think that is where you will find a lot of the original testers and be able to connect with them 1:1, most are here as well, and the general discussion page is a great place to connect with one another without having to go through the process of looking through all the different betas and resources we're currently supporting. That board is just for chatting. 😃

 

Okay that said, I want to dig into this issue a bit more so I can file a bug if necessary. You are using the Square for Retail app, correct? Can you tell me what IOS version you are using now? I want to check into any impact on this from 14.0.1 (which is the most recent version of the IOS), and what version of Retail you may be using.

Ironically the previous beta group wasn't a chatty group.  We felt like were finding issues and helping to resolve them.  Don't care for mindless chat.

 

I'm out of the shop today, so I'll have to get the IOS tomorrow.  

 

ashc responded to the variation issue and said to contact Retail.  I'm not sure whether I've been referred back to you or someone else.  Are you able to see the bigger picture of communication?

Sorry Im not able to, I'm not part of the support team, and we're not running any Square for Retail beta's currently. So we can file a ticket to the team, but I would just need more information and it seems like that is part of it. 

When it's Square for Retail we have a dedicated group of phone support that may be the best option and a bit quicker to respond that community support which isn't quite for as urgent support. I can make sure this goes to the correct person though.
