Automated Privacy/Cookie Policy Page Builder

There are two things that need to happen here:

1) an automated privacy policy page: look through the current store settings and build a privacy policy based upon Square's technology and the store's settings

2) include the automated script from Cookiebot in the building of the privacy/cookie policy page that customers would see. Cookibot has a feature where it will spit out a store's cookie policy on-the-fly based upon what the user has selected. Unfortunately, it errors out unless the store tech person enters "SANDBOX.SQUARE.ONLINE" into Cookiebot's admin screen. Because the Cookiebot/Square integration happens behind-the-scenes, Square users have no access to Cookiebot's admin screen and therefore cannot fix this Sandbox Error and get access to the ability to build a correct cookie policy on-the-fly to include in a privacy policy web page to show their customers.

These privacy policy web pages are required for Meta integration and providing the correct information is very, very important and way beyond the typical user's ability.

Seeing as all of this information is readily available based upon a Square Store User's settings, the only thing that truly makes sense is to build a page on-the-fly based upon square's system, a store user's settings and the Cookiebot options selected.

This is relatively easy to do on the back-end for someone with the knowledge but very difficult for a regular user to do so PLEASE consider adding this vital functionality.

Hi there, @abfabhb,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share this detailed and thoughtful feedback. You’ve outlined an important and well-considered suggestion regarding automated privacy policy generation and deeper Cookiebot integration within Square Online. At the moment, Square Online doesn’t automatically generate a privacy or cookie policy page, and we recognize that configuring tools like Cookiebot can be challenging, especially given the sandbox configuration issue you mentioned. Your recommendation to have Square dynamically build these policies based on store settings and Cookiebot data is excellent feedback and something we’ll be sure to share directly with our Product and Web Development teams for review. We also recommend posting this on our Square Community feedback page.
