The title is the question:
Are there any directions on integrating "IndexNow" into a Weebly/Square website?
Hey @Peter-E. I’m assuming that you are specifically asking about whether or not Weebly allows us to add text files to our sites, for the purpose of verifying ownership of our sites with IndexNow. If so, then please let me know and I’ll do a little more research, which might include PMing with a Square product manager that might be able to help.
Otherwise, IndexNow seems to be triggered by us submitting a URL to tell it that some form of update has happened to our website. That, of course, must be done manually after we make site changes.
Lastly, in my research I learned that while Google is running limited tests to help them decide if they want to jump on board here, currently IndexNow will not force Google’s bots to speed up their re-indexing tasks. Even Duck Duck Go is not onboard with this completely. It seems to be limited to Bing and a few lesser known search engines right now, so the effects will be extremely limited. I only mention this so that it is not a surprise later if you didn’t already know it.
Please let me know if I understood your question and, if so, I’ll see what I can find out.
Chip, I believe you understand my question quit clearly.
As some background, under Microsoft Bing's Webmaster Tools it highlights the lack of integration with IndexNow as a top red-line, severity one issue for my Weebly/Square website (https://www.discerningreaders.com) to get better results in that search area. Like you point out, I often go into Microsoft's Webmaster tools and Google Search Console's "submit url" and do this manually after an update.
Just wondering if there are plans to integrate this new function into our websites for us, or allow us to integrate ourselves . . . and if we need to do it ourselves provide some instructions on the process.
Needless to say the IndexNow tools lack some clarity too . . . or I may be a little slow on the uptake! 😉
Thanks for the assistance.

Is there any updates on this? I'd too like to know how to install Index now on my weebly sites. I found a way on google which involves rerouting the DNS through Cloudflare.... sounds a little complicated. Would be interested to know if there was an easier way.
Hey @terrinosko,
Unfortunately, we do not have an update on this at this time. If you found a workaround, feel free to try it out.
