Anyone else having issues with coupons?

  • Anybody else having issues with coupons working on the site? With Black Friday looming over tomorrow, I can’t get any of the coupons to work. 


The input field doesn’t accept coupons, just gift card codes at checkout. It worked two days ago. But last night after a recent update, the coupons stopped working again.

 

this has been an ongoing problem everytime there has been an update to the services.

 

I’ve been given the runaround over and over by customer support and the engineering team and no solution being given. To the point where I just hung up out of frustration.

Squares service has gone downhill in a big way over the past few months.

 

We have decided to migrate to Shopify even though the migration is going to be a challenge.

Hello there @Willar

 

I just tested your site and was able to apply a coupon. Could you share an item and a coupon that failed to get applied? 

 

Here's a capture of the checkout with a coupon applied. I have hidden the coupon to protect the privacy of your business.

1. Try adding 4 items to the cart.

 

2. The 3rd item should be free  (buy 2 get 1 free) - the coupon should still be applicable for the 4th item and 5th items, when you add the 6th item, then Buy2Get1Free comes back into play. There is no logic to the current workflow. 


3. After you remove 2 items from the cart, buy 2 get 1 is no longer applicable. You can re-enter and apply the coupon code but there is still an error message being displayed.

 

This issue directly affects the way sales are being promoted online efficiently.

Considering we don't want to "ADD ALL ITEMS" to be a part of automatic discounts, but we DO want to add all items within a category, it would make sense to have a check all checkbox in the dialog window within each category.

Thank you for providing all these details @Willar. I can now see clearly what is going on. At this time, Square Online is unable to "Stack" Discounts, and the Buy 2, Get 1 is the better discount, for that reason "Cobra12" is not applying in this case. 

 

This would be considered a feature request. We’d love it if you'd submit this request on our Ideate page for Square Online. Our team monitors these boards, and we triage them to measure needs. You can search the boards to see if this has been requested before and add your use case if so!
