Advance Booking / Ordering

Hi I am setting up the square online for my home bakery. However after all the trouble I have been through to setting up the web, I realised that the customer are not able to choose the preferred day for delivery. It is such a shame because customer do go online and put their orders in in advance for their functions, etc. Without it too, me as the business are not able to check my availability or close orders when my orders for the day have reached the maximum. I have checked with Square Support and was told to contact customer to discuss their date preference, but I do not like this process at all. Customer will not be willing to make the payment to complete their orders online with the uncertainty of their delivery date is guaranteed and I do not want customers to pay for it first if I cannot commit to their preferred date. So any retailers in the same situation as me? Can you share how you got around this? Please. I would move over to another online ordering platform but I have spend so much time setting it up already and I would really like to know if there is anyway around this. Thank you in advance

This should actually be doable! With Scheduled Delivery, you can allow customers to select a pick up date in the future. It looks like this when your customers place an order:

Hi, i have a similar type of business.  If we schedule the pick up, is there some way of reporting to show it added in to the workload on the day of collection?  We’ve just had a $300 order today which makes it look like they have been really busy (I looked at their transactions remotely as I was surprised).  But the workload will be on the day of pickup (stock made fresh each day).  Thanks

I just want to make sure I'm on the right page here, are you wanting to know if it's possible to have transactions recorded on the date of pick-up, rather than the date payment is made online?

At this stage, all transactions are recorded at the date/time the payment is made, whether this is online or in person. I'm not aware of any plans to change this functionality.

Are you looking for recommendations for how best to view and manage incoming orders?
