How can I receive free processing fees on up to $1,000 in sales when signing up for Square?

The title of this thread has been edited from the original: How to sign up for fee-free processing.

 

Hi everyone, 

 

Just wondering how I can sign up for the fee-free processing as I just recently got my own square reader but have previously made an account (2 yrs ago). Although I didn't manage to use the square reader I was lent since I couldn't connect it.

 

Is this automatically applicable to the first $1000 sale I make? Or do I need to follow the sign up process again?

To confirm, when you signed up for Square a few years ago, did you use a referral link provided by another Square Seller?

The $1,000 free processing offer you're referring to is part of Square’s Referral Program. Each business that activates its account through a unique referral link, can receive reimbursements on processing fees for up to $1,000 in sales over the next 180 days (six months). Upon activation, both the referred business and the referring Seller are eligible for this benefit.

If you signed up for Square over six months ago through a referral link and didn’t process any payments, the free processing promotion would have expired. However, you can still take advantage of this offer by inviting others to Square!

To share your unique referral link:

  1. Go to Account & Settings from your online Square Dashboard.
  2. Click Get free processing to view your referral link.
  3. You can share your unique link X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, and other social media platforms – or copy and paste it into a text message or email.

If you signed up without a referral link, then the free processing offer won’t be automatically applied to your account.

In this case, I’d recommend contacting our Support Team directly so they can assist you further. Please reach out when you can by logging into your Square account and heading here.

Hi Katie,

 

I didn't use a referral link to sign up, it was just a normal sign up. Am I able to delete or reset my account and make a new one for this?
