I am building my own website. All I need from Square is to process payments from my website and occasionally, take payments from square reader that I have linked to.
With regards to online payment processing - I am assuming I dont need to setup products in Square as that is done in my website and I am assuming square simply will process the payment without any product setup. Are my assumptions correct please ?
With regards to square reader - I can see it on the App and transact and the amounts show in my square account online, however, I cant see the linked device and cant see how the payment come through (channel). How can I see the device linked please ? and how can I see what channel payment come through (online vs reader) please ?

You are correct. You can configure square as a payment processor on your website. The method will be dependent on the platform you choose. You can read a little more here:

In regard to your second questions. I am unsure as i currently only use physical point of sale devices... but it looks to me like it would be differentiated as a different payment source in both the transaction list and the reporting (from the dashboard)

There are a couple of areas on your Square Dashboard that you can use to further break down where sales are coming from. One is the Transactions section, the other is the Reports section.
Use the filters at the top of the screen on these reporting pages - eg display or filter by device or device nickname, or filter by payment type. Are these pages able to give you the information you were looking for? Or is there an additional functionality you're looking for that doesn't appear to be present in either of these section?
