Adjusting Stock Levels on Products

When I set up my products I didn't give them any stock levels. How do I do this?  It might be the reason my website says "This store is not yet accepting payments."

Welcome to our Seller Community @calicocrafts 👋

You're right, missing stock levels can be the reason you're seeing this message. You can fix this by following these steps:

1. Sign into your Square Online dashboard here and select Items > Site Items > click on an item.

2. In the Additional Information section, select Stock > Update.

3. Toggle on Track stock.

4. Enter the stock you have on hand, and click Update Stock.

5. Click Save once you're done.

Any stock changes in Square Online will sync to your Square Item Library, so when you sell an item it automatically updates stock numbers.

If you're still having trouble with items showing up as not available in your online store, take a look at this guide which lists some other common reasons this error message might come up. As always, feel free to stop by The Community with questions, concerns and even feature requests. We are more than happy to assist.

Thanks so much, I have adjusted the stock on all my items and still get the message "This store is not yet accepting payments"  The guide you mentioned is about stock and I feel the problem is not with individual stock items, which are all visible, but with the ability to accept payment?  I have received payments with my card reader so the setup of my bank account etc seems to be all ok.

Thanks for going through these steps already, @calicocrafts! Can you send through a link to your site so we can take a look as well?

The website is calicocrafts.com.au

Thanks for your help.  It would be great to get any suggestions on what I could do better as well if you can as this is my first time with Square and Weebly.  I noticed when I click on a product in most cases it takes ages, if at all for the picture for that item to load.  It is loaded on the front screen but not on the actual product.  Maybe I should upload smaller sized pics?  Cheers, Di

Did you just recently point your DNS to your site, @calicocrafts? It looks like the SSL has not been applied yet, which is why you're seeing a small alert at the start of your web address. When you have a moment, check that the only records on your domain are as follows;

1 A - type Record with the host/value set as the "@" or the * symbol (depends on your registrar) pointing to "199.34.228.164"

&

Another A type Record with the host value as "www" and pointing to "199.34.228.164".

After that, your SSL should propagate within 24-48 hours from setting the proper settings. Let me know if you've done this already!

Hi Arie, my initial instructions were to point the A record @ to 199.34.228.164 and the CNAME www to the same address which I did but I have now changed the CNAME to an A record and www to 199.34.228.164.  Does that make sense and is it now correct?  Cheers, Di
