Resizing (shrinking) display image to fit screen

Hi there, I am trying to shrink an image to use as the default image on the screen of the new Square register (when the system is idle), but can't see anywhere how to do this. Can anyone help please?

Hello @Kay777, and welcome to our Seller Community! We're always happy to see new faces. 

We don't offer the option to resize the image within Square, but you can always resize the image then upload it. 

Here are the steps to change the background image:

You can change the background image on the customer facing display from your online Square Dashboard. To get started:

1. Sign in at squareup.com/login > navigate to the Account & Settings section,
2. Click Locations > and click on the location name.
3. Scroll down to Point of Sale checkout background.
4. To remove an image click on the small image preview to the bottom left > click Remove.
5. To upload a new image > click on the image icon > click Save in the top right corner. 

You might need to power your Register off and turn it back on again to see the new image.

I tried to change background image exactly as you told to but there is no option as "Point of Sale checkout background."

I just had this problem the other day searching for it this way, but figured it out (they must've updated):

1. Navigate to Account & Settings on the dashboard.

2. Click My Business > Locations and click on the location name. (or My Business > About).

3. Scroll down to Branding > select the three dots in this section & click edit. 

4. It should bring you to a new page with your logos/branding colour > click Next at the top.

5. This brings you to a 'preview and adjust' page where you can change the background image > navigate to the Point of Sale section on the left and you will be able to upload a new image for the register screen!
