About a month ago, there was and update to our Android based Square Register (A-SKU-0665). It changed our POS system in a few ways, but most importantly our customers who were paying cash could not check in by themselves through the front facing touch screen.
Why did the developers remove this feature?? Now we are having to click through multiple screens to check customers in, while they line up waiting for us to finish.
What is SquareUp doing to correct this bottleneck?

Hello @greg408 thanks for your post. I'm sorry this changed on your register...what does your Customer Facing Screen display prior to the start of a sale? Mine shows my shop name, as well as a button to "check in". So a customer can check in prior to even starting a sale, and also while I'm ringing up a sale. So they have an option without the register even "knowing" if they will pay in cash or card. I'm not sure why you may not be seeing this same option.
Have you tried to "revert" to the last operating system? Perhaps that would help, or maybe a restart or even logging out, and then logging back into your account on the register.
