payment link is reporting the wrong user name and email address

I created a payment link and share it with customers.

 

everyone that uses it is logged  with the wrong names and user email. 

 

they all have the same email and name.

This usually happens when the customer is logged into a Square account (or has a saved card profile) that's overriding the details on the payment link. Square's payment links can auto-fill from the buyer's saved profile.

A few things to check:

1. Are customers logged into Square when paying? If they have a Square account, it may auto-populate their old details
2. Check your payment link settings — go to the link in your Dashboard and verify the 'Collect customer info' options are set correctly
3. Test it yourself in an incognito/private browser window — if you see the correct fields, the issue is on the customer's browser (cached data or saved profile)

If everyone is showing the SAME name and email, that's likely a bug — it sounds like one customer's details are being cached or stuck on the payment page. Try recreating the payment link from scratch and see if the new one has the same issue. If it does, contact Square Support with the specific link URL — that's a bug on their end.
