incompatible reader error

 I am getting an "incompatible reader" message when I try to add a new bluetooth reader to my account. I've updated my phone, deleted and re-added the ap, spent 2 hours with the chat help, deleted my account and made a new one and nothing is working. It just keeps saying that I have to use a device for my own country. I live in Canada and bought this in Canada. Any suggestions?

I also tried a hard restart of the device.
